ember. Ilis remains will be brought
cast for interment. and will probably at-
rive in New York ncxt Monday. The
deceased possessed much business ability
and an indomitable will. under the spur
of which he continued in business and
fought his disease for years. He was
born in this city and was well known
and highly esteemed.
POLLY ’OLMSTE A D .
Mrs. Polly Olmstead died at North
Wilton last. Monday. and was buried
Thursday. She was 87 years and 6
months of age. and had spent her whole
life in North Wilton. She was a. half
sister of Joseph Scribner and grand-
mother of Chas. F. Hallock of this city.
She was the mother of seven children,
and had thirty-three grandchildren and
seventeen great. grandchildren.

Edward Shepherd. of Harrisburg, 111.,
