Saturday evcning thought it to be his du~

for improper relations with his family

morning Sherwood deemed it his ditty

have sunk a well live feet in diameter in
the clear. near the foot of the westerly
slope of the ridge. and have obtained ex~
ci-llcut \\ ater. and have laid a series of
water and air. pipes so that water will be
supplied to the cottages and hotel. The
power by which the water is to he forc-
ed to the consumers is a wind mill of large
cnpzicity and [simple construction, This
mill is built. at Hartford and fully cap-
able of d‘oing‘the .\vork rctiuired. The
bottom of the well is two feet below low
water mark. and the water entirely freo
from any brackish taste. so common to
wells near tide water. The tlow
is 500 gallons per hour. _ A sewer has
been laid to the sound. which will con-
nect with all the cottugos on the south-
ern portion of the Island. The cottages
for rent arc furnished with bodstcuds.
tables. chairs. wnsh stands and oil stoves.
so that the occupants need only bring
tied clothing and tublo furniture. Occu-
pituts can therefore do their own cooking
or can take their meals at the hotel. The
