outline, and fairly shamed. although

portion of the face, from a point above
the eyes was animal like. Around the
back of his} head could be plainly felt an

His eyes were peculiarly shaped, just as
a bear‘s. niid his nose was inclined to be
flat. This. with a protruding chin,
added tothe marked resemblance to a
beau. Had the face been atrifle narrow-
er it would have been almost complete.
He lacked double teeth, only having up
per and lower sets or front ones with
short tasks at either side. His ears
wore very small and human in shape.
H.” complexion was that of a man of
Ills years, and for whiskers he had a
light straggling mustache and a small
tuft. of hair on his chin. Hislimbs were
those ofa brute. The arms were at-

what compares with the little finger,

cannot be straig tened although double
pint-ed at the knees which lacksrpaws.“
