The services in the First Methodist

The lecture last night was well attended
for a. lecture. The clue of people which
a lecture pleases is always small. There
was also a personal interest in Mr. Bar-

lecturer was introduced by Mayor Adams
in a very happy manner. On the plat-
form several of the ministers of South
Norwalk were seated. He treated the
subject. "Pleasure" in an original man-
ner. and gave at least its definition-won-
tentment. One could not but admire his
command of language and ready flow of
ideas. Altogether it was a literary suc-
cess. It its lecture which we hope will
be delivered elsewhere. Mayor Adams
was presented with a handsome boquet by
the members of the Truck Company.
