and pmyur have been hold during the

at the Baptist church. Sisters from the

hours were spent in united prayer for the
outpouring of God‘s spirit upon our work.
Tho second consecration meeting for the
advancement of the work was held in
January. Representatives from the Nur-
walk and Stamford Unions were present.
After spending three hours in prayer and
motel-once. the company repaired to the

was uniting them. Two others have
been held since at private houses. These
meetings hove been the most profitable
sud pleasant gatherings during the year.
It has been the privilege of some of our
sister: to visit the poor and needy. sick
and dying, and to minister to their wants.

tival was held (through the courtesy of
the Reform Association in their rot-nus).

have been patronized to some extent. but

In our death notices last week we recor-
ded the death of Edwm Brewer. who died
at. his residence in Chicopeo. Mass.
March 20th. aged 07 years. It is a rather
remarkable fact that ho died on the anni-
versary of his birth and of his marriage.
Mr. Brewer came to this city in 1867. from
Springfield. Mass” with the firm which
subsequently bt name known as the Nor-
walk Iron Works. He remained in this
city until 1870 when he moved to Hart-
ford. He wnsn monibor of the Baptist
Tabcrnttclo. and remained so until his
death. He was it constatttttttottdunt upon
its SPFV'lf‘i‘H and a devoted lover of its in-
terests. Mr. Brewer Wits also a member
