facts: it want organized Nov. 15, 1870.
The result of its work in this city is that

amount of $723. 0‘3. The running expen-
scs have bran $143.27. Whole iunount
donated in money 861.00. Received from
regular collections $908.78 ; special
collections, $30.00. The Suturduy
night collections have been used by the
president as a relief fund, helping those
that tire worthy and in strutghtencd cir-
cumstances. Sixty-six dollars have been
paid for public speakers. The organ
which cost $00.00 has been purchased by
subscription. Cash on hand $436.00.
The association numbers 572:3350 of whom
have been in good standing three months
and upwards and entitled to have their
names on the roll of honor. Eighteen
have been oxpollcd for violation of pledge
and refusal to resign. There liuvo been
two deaths—Lafayette Green and Wm. J.
Vanlacc. The re rt refers to the Friday
and Saturday nig 1; meetings in com li-
mcntnry terms, and says of the later t mt
the prominent men of the city often come
into these meetings and address tlfl in such
it monitor as to give its courage to mess on
in the good work of reclaiming 1’ ion ku-
intimty. Thcre has been scarcely it day
since the society was organized. but some

Plant and Brookside. the result of which

in Five Mile River. Mill Plain. Cranberry
Plain and Bridgeport. and three hundrcd

room is pmd by Citizens. whose names
have already been given. The ornaments,
inottns. picturcs. &c., have been donated
princlpa ly by the Indy friends of the as-
