The preparations for Memorial day are

Military, Notes.
The spring parade of the Second regi-
ment will occur in Middletown. May ‘25.
The full excursion of this regiment will be
made to Brooklyn and t‘orrey island and
will occupy two days. probably between
September 1 and 16. Tire excursion will
be made by a chartered steamboat and the
American band will accompany the regi-
merit.
The New Military company met for drill
last Friday night. There was a fair at
tendance of the petitioners for the corn-
pauy. but some were not there. because
they supposed that theylwere not enlisted.
