Methodist Excursion.
On 'l‘uesday. August 7th, the Methodist
Societlcs of this town will no on their Innua
excursion by steamer Laura to Branfordl
Point; A special cflort is being made this
year to make this the excursion of the season
and the most liberal arrangements are bclnir
made for the pleasure of all participants.
A good band of music will accompany the
excursion. and pleasant entertainment will
be afforded to all on board. At Branford
Point. there willlbe provision made for those
who prefer to not take their own refresh-
ments. D' Artois is going to be the boss cs-
torer for the occasion. and everything is to
be carried out on I liberal scale. Tickets
will be sold It the popular price, 50 cents,
and the Sunday School scholars go free.

One night recently, having occasion to
stop It the City Hotel in your city, I was as

street, nearly opposite to an engine house.
