The annual reception of the mdeu of the
Weston Boording School took place Thurs-
day evening, Feb. 8th, and all the arrange-
ments for the occasion were made in Mr.
J arvis's usual generous style.
About two hundred invited guests were
present from WestporyNorwalk, and New
York, including the pupils of the Misses
Downes's Boarding School, of “'estport,
and many young misses from Norwalk and
the neighboring towns. The large school
room was handsomely decorated in military
style, with the national and school colors
prominently and tastefully displayed. The
cadets appured to fine advantage in their
unitorms,witli life and intelligence beaming
in every countenance, and prebancd as man-
ly looking a class of boys as any school in
the land esn show. At an esrly hour the
young ladies begin to arrive, elegantly and
tastefully dressed, handsome and bloominz‘
as roses in the month of June.
