Jennie Foster. of Alleghany City, Penn-
sylvania. was a poor scrum girl two weeks
ago, with “ no one to love.“ But she has

plied until, at a dollar apiece, her money
would not go around Such is “poor hu-

ment" has come to light in Portland. Maine.

man in jail for debt. The wife of the debtor
proceeded to the saloon of the illicit dealer,

The accident to a stage couch, by the
breaking of s bridge, in Ashford, Mass, in
