from this newspaper.

purchased The Sentinel from the
Golden family. the present. odi-
tor not Mr. Mitchell in this cities
and informed him of the new own-
ership. He was told because tho
city. its habits and its people were
familiar to him and unfamiliar to
the new management at that time.

office gathering news. instead of in-
side on editorial work, which could
be done by others.
Mr. Mitchell gave the impression
such an arrangement would be sat-
isfactory to him. put on his hat and
coat. left The Sentinel odice, and it

for a Job on The Hour staff. because
that was the last. time he appeared
at The Sentinel building.
The editor of this paper was
' dumbfounded when an investigation
of the wrolls showed Mr. Mitch-
ell. under the Golden management.

He had assumed Mr. Mitchell was
