The Rev. Robert B. B.‘Foote is to
play the part 01 "Moses" in the pre-
Christmas pageant that will be giv-
en at Christ Episcopal church. Sun-
day evening. at 7:80 o'clock. 8am-
uei D. liuli will play "Joshua." and
there will be a supporting cast of
close to 60, including the members
of the choir which will sing the
chorus numbers.
A synopsis of the pageant. which
is the first pro-seasonal event of the
kind to be presented here. is as fol-
lows:
"Near the Promised Land." Chor-
us of lsraelites are heard in the dis-
tance. singing as they march
through the dOort. "Through the
night of doubt and sorrow onward
goes the pilgrim band." Moses and
Joshua address the people. Chorus
sings. “Guide me. 0 Thou great Je-
hovah."
I n t e r l u d e. Congregation sings.
"Glorious things of thee are spoken."

“Worship in the Temple Courts."
Chorus of Priests and Levites (men
and boys) enter the Court of the

"The Messages of the Prophets."
Vision and call of Isaiah. lie deliv-
ers his message. Jeremiah and lila-

the new day. Chorus responds to
each. All sing “Ye servants of the
Lord" as men and boys march out.
“Dawn of the New Day." Vision
of Zacharias in the temple. The
Annunciation to Mary. Mary visits
Elizabeth and sings the “Magnifi-
cat." The naming of John. Zac-
harias sings the "Benedictus."

The fatal accident of William
Baird of 35 Central Ave. Wednesday
evening at Noroton. brought to light
a question as to who is responsible
