State was settled today when Gov-
ernor Nellie Taylee Ross. Democrat.
of Wyoming. conceded her defeat to
Frank E. Emerson. Republican.
The woman Governor sent to her
opponent “my congratulations and
hope for a successful administra-
tion." .
Figures on the race gave Emerson
34.701 and Ross 33.247 in 686 pre-
cincts out of 685. Wyoming will re-
turn its Republican Representative.

812.000. The McNultys plan to make
Silvermine their permanent home.

mobile horns which probably will
replace the squawking type now in
use in Paris capsed a special police
committee attending a demonstration
of them to clap their hands to their
ears and flee the scene.
Salesmen representing numerous
firms desirous of supplying the auto.
mobile trade. presented several
scores of their "silent" samples. In
the effort to prove how noiseless
they were. however. they tested the
horns so vigorously and constantly
that the police had to beg for mer-
cy and fled into the building.
The Paris police authorities re-
cently appointed a committee to in-
vestigate and select a standard type
of horn less noisy than the ones
which make the Paris streets so hid-
eously blantant. This was the com-
mittee's first meeting with the trade.
The next one has not been schedul-
ed. the committee desiring to await
until its nerves have quietpd.

he offered him. Brien is so strong
and healthy that the operation had
little effect on himself. He contin-
