simple Girl scout-program will went
very much to continue their scout
work with a group of girls their own

Citisen scout groups are being
formed all over the country in order
to accommodate the older girls who
want to continue scouting work. The
cltlaen scout wears a dark blue uni-
form made along the lines oi the
scout officer‘s uniform of the present
time. The blue hat which accompan-
ics the uniform gives a very distin-
guished look to an otherwise drab
uniform.
There are special pins which in.
elude tho "Trafoii" of the mount
pin. but which are blue to match
the uniform.
The chief aim of the citizen group
is to be of service to the community.
The slogan is “Service" and there
are many ways in which the scouts
ind they may help the town and
home and country.
Those girls who have been
through the regular courses and
training-in scouting and who would
like to Join the citizen's group. are
asked to be sure to attend the meet-
ing Thursday night. it is so ar-
ranged at night. in order that a
number of the girls who cannot at-
tend afternoon mectings. may be cc-
commodated‘.
The annual Girl Scout rummage
sale is being held in the vacant
store, corner of Commerce and Wall
streets. October 28 and 29. Mrs,
Irving Jenn gs. the chairman of the
finance co mittee is arranging it
and Miss Martha Murphcy will
manage the affair. Here is 11 chance
for every one to do a little bit of
good for the scouts. All rummnge
donations will be gladly received.
Saturday afternoon at 3 o'clock(
the Girl Scout rally. a fitting con-
clusion to Girl Scout Cliccr Week.
“ill be held in the Center Junior
High school. All troops will be pres-
ent. bringing as many members to
end and third prizes.
The main aim of the rally will be
to show the public what Girl Scouts
are doing in first aid work. There
will be competitions between the
troops for the best demonstrations
of first aid work for accidents. Siz—

The meeting will prove both inter-
esting and instructive.
