‘like a romantic novel. To be pre-
cise he was born in a gypsy tent in
Glasgow. Scotland. on the 313i of
December. 1893, and lived the life
of a traveling gypsy fortune-teller
until sixteen years of age.

I was a. boy I was sent out in the
morning to beg the breakfast; later
sent out to ‘find' something that and
might sell for our supper. It I came
in empty handed I was tied up to a
caravan wheel and licked by him
until he was tired. and then in any

me at her door and gave me an old
