At a recent trusting of the Indies'
Aid society or the Methodist church,
plans were drawn up for the fell sc~
tivities. The bi-monthly iunoheons
will be resumed next month. The
drst one is scheduled for September
16. An entertainment at the church
is planned for September 28, and the
annual fair and banner will be held
October 21. The price ot the
luncheons has been advanced irom
800 to 400.

The Boy Scouts of Darlen and the
Scout Fathers have been asked to
attend en nesse a building bee
Saturday afternoon at line Scout
Cabin. which has been under con-
struction for some time. The drive
to secure fundn of 85.000 to build the
cabin has not yet been completed.

the building has progressed slowly
and the extra s-istance is greatly
needed. Since the cabin is tor the
scouts' peuonsJ benefit. it will
doubtless take little persuasion to
enlist their help.
The sidewalk which is being laid
on the north siie or the Post road
between Leroy avenue and the rail-
road brvdgs is rapidly nearing com-
pictiou. The walk is one of the
series which will be laid leading up
to the site of the new High school.
A gang of. workers under tho
supervision of Paul Bacco Stamford
contractor. are at work paving a
section of Old King's Highway and
Center street. which- runs from the
Home bank and Trust Co.. on the
Post road, to the Tokeneke read.
When the road is completed. trailio
will be directed that way in an elort
to lighten the congestion at the
bridge.
