Gingerbread Marshmallow Pudding One-half cup granulated sugar, 1 cup molasses. 1-2 cup butter. 1 1-2 cups flour. 1 teaspoon each cinnamon ginger and cloves. s teaspoons soda. 1 cup boiling water. 2 eggs. 1-8 tea- spoon salt. marshmallows. 1. cup whipping cream. Cream butter. slowly add sugar, beating until creamy. Mix and sift flour. spica and salt and add a few tablespoonfuls to first mixture. stir in molasses and add remaining flour. Dissolve soda in boiling webs and stir into mixture. Beat hard and add eggs well beaten. Pour into two oiled and floured layer cake pans and. bake 10 minutes in a. moderate oven. Remove from pans as soon as pos- sible to handle and put marshmal- low between layers. Return to the oven long enough to soften mallows. Serve warm with cream whipped and sweetened with 2 tablespoons pow- dered sugar and flavored with 1-2 teaspbon vanilla. Chocolate Crisps. Day Nursery Will Close Three Weeks Beginning Monday At the monthly meeting of the Norwalk Day Nursery. held yester- day at the home of Mrs. Christian Swarts. 88 West avenue, it was an- nounced that the nursery, would close for three weeks. commencing August 16. and opening again the day after Labor Day. The repairs, which are now progressing well nocesshte this brief closing of the institution. A report was given on the vari- ous activities of the nursery. Tifo attendance for the last month was 243.
