Yochelman Charges
Federal Prohibition Enforcement
Director Frank T. Putuey of Guil~
ford has entered a. general denial of
charges brought against him by Dr.
lsidore Yochelman Bridgeport.
Yocheiman alleges that Paint-y has
been charging physicians a fixed fee
for issuing permits for them to pre-
scribe liquors. and has filed sworn
affidavits with Senator Edward 1.
Edwards of New Jersey. These affl-
davits have been turned over to Sec-
rotary of the Treasury Mellon. who
has stated that the charges would
be made the subject of an investi-
gation.
Mr. Puincy has denied all the
charges of the Bridgeport physician.
and he said that he might bring
action for damages against the doc-
tor. for he believed the allegations
to be actionable. He denied the re.
issuance of Dr. Yochelman’s permit
given as his reason that certain ir-
regularities existed in his last per-
mit. which did not warrant him to
re-issue the permit. He declared
that no charge is made whatsoever
for a permit.

(AP). Paul Christie. Muskegon busi-
ness man. his wife and two children.
Marion aged 7 and Charles. 21
months. were burned to death early
today when their home in North
Muskegon was destroyed by fire.
The. body of Mr. -Christie was
found near the front of the house.
indicating he was trying to get out
of the burning structure. Mrs. Chris-
tie's body was found. in the center
of the house. and those of the chil-
dren in their bedrooms. Mr. Chris-
tie was 41 years old and his wife
