Rev. James 'A. Machiillsn. pestcr
of the Methodist Episcopal church
of Naugstuck and secretary of the
New York East Conferenbe of the
Methodist church since 1995. died at
his home Tuesday. He was born in
New York city. August 1, 1859. and
had been a minister for 31 years;
His first pastorate after his gradu-
ation from Drew Theological Semin-
ary at Madison N. J.. was at Dav-
part and Bluepolnt. N. Y. He later
went to Milford and since then had
held pastorates in New York and
Connecticut. In this'etste he had
been at Seymour. Hartford. Bridge-
port. Dot-by. Simsbnry. New Canaan
and Naugstuck. coming here from
Sag Harbor. N. 1., in 1928.
For many years Rev. Mr. Mac-
Millan served as amfstsnt secretary
