The Florida real estate slump is
not permanent: it will fade away
with the decrease or "hinder" specu~
into", according to Joseph Ghiotto.

he was connected with an advertis-
ing firm. He was there nine
months. and will remain here for the
summer.
Mr. Ghlotto presents the point of
view of the Florida business man
rather than the real estate opera-
tor. He did advertising work in
Tampa. for several of the large
realty concerns. He said yester-
day morning that the present slump
which started in March was foreseen
months before. because of the de-
crease in exploitation. Florida re.-
sltors stopped advertising when the
influx of outside speculators became
too great to allow stability in the
real estate market. It was a ten-
denc)’. Mr. Ghlotto said. for small
business men from outside states to
tie up a large property with a small
deposit. When this condition be-
came too serious. a retarding move-
ment was made to check "binder
buying."
Mr. Ghiotto's work was concerned
for the most part with outdoor ad.
vertisins. He also did cartoon and
illustrating work for a moving pic-
ture concern there, which used the
screen as a medium.
While in Norwalk he did much
cartoon work. having been employed
at various intervals by the Norwslk
Hour and the Evening Sentinel. His
talent. in drawing is well known.
