A letter with the gift briefly ex-
- presses the desire of the donor with
regard to it and tells the story of
years in the few words: "I have
had the enclosed talents hidden in
s napkin." Apparently the donor
held sacred the memories made
poignant by the tokens received
. years ago but had decided to part
with them to help some unfortunate
to the “not charity but chance" aid
given by the Industries.
That the donor was not able to
give money is evident in the minds
of the officials, who believe that a

sent“; the same amount in money
and kept the silver dollars for the
sentimental value.

Washington St. Today-
A gray squirrel attracted con-
siderable attention among the
early risers Friday morning when
it was seen running along the
signs in front of stores in Wash-
ington street. and looikng into the
windows on the second floor.
Thelittle animal seemed to be
enjoying itself and after taking
one longpeek through a window
over the shoe store of Milton Ei-
wood. dove in the window and
that was the last seen of the
squirrel.
If it came out of the apartment
again it. left by way of the back
doom
It is reported that the squirrel
is the pet of a family residing in
one of the Washington street
apartments.

has sold his half interest in the for-
mer Greens Farms school building
and property on Clapboard Hill
road. Greens Farms to Nathan Shil-
epsky. who with Mr. Tankus pur-
chased the property at an auction
recently conducted by the Town of
\Vcstport.
It is understood that Mr. Shilep-
sky plans to convert the building in-
