Mr. Wood moved the tentative passage of the budget and this ac- tion was taken. . Councilman Herbert O. Pollard and Tax Collector Lawrence K. Paul appeared in behalf of‘ the adminis- trative budget. Tentative Approval of this budget amounting to $171. - 525. 85 was made Tax Collector Paul stated that he desired 33. 000 for expenses as he wail installing new systems. He urged the approval of 815.000 for the auditing of the city books and installation of a new system. He said the city had outgrown the sys- tem used in the office of tax collec- tor in years past. Collector Needs Extra Ciuk He informed the board that he is planning a system whereby the rate books for personal property and real estate will be separate. He said this was the only way the city was going to collect the taxes on the great number of automobiles. He pointed out the need of another clerk in his allies and asked for ti,- 010 for this purpose. Tentative approval was also made of the police-budget. Police Com. mitteman Edward M.
