over a period of four years. He is
survived by his wife. Carrie A.
Hankc, and a son. Raymond W.
Hankc of 535 Maplewood avenue.

Mr. Hankc was born in Germany
in 1862 and came to America when
he was 18 years of one. He first
settled in Newark. where he became
engaged in the halting industry. He

. later moved to Norwsllt and then to

Danbury. After working at the hat-
ting trade in Dsnbui'y for several
years. he took up his residence at
New Milford where he was married.
