Williamson, a Civil War veteran.
gave his bank book to his niece.

Mass, but Mr. Williamson did not
send her any order to draw the
funds. lie died December 4. 1923.
and Mrs. ltausom's husband, Harold
H, Ransom, agent for the American
Railway Express company. paid the
funeral expenses and contracted for
a monument at Mr. Williamson's
grave. at Kingfleld. Me. Later Mrs.
Ransom went to the City Bank and
Trust company. in Hartford, with
the bank book but she could not
draw the fllnds because she did not.

In the Hartford County Superior
court. Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Ran-
som testified that they went to Nor-
oton in the fall of 1923 at Mr. Wil-
liamson’s request to see him. and he.
said he was going to give his bank
book to Mrs. Ransom bllt it was

Ransom the book was turned over to
