a block of property fronting the
Promenade des Anglale at Nice and
plans to build upon it the largest
American-plan hotel in France. The
original plan called for the con-
struction of an International Sport-
tlng Club, to cost 250,000,000 francs,
but negotiations with the Nice Mun-
icipal Council regarding the license
proved unsatisfactory and the idea
was given up. '
A year ago Mr. Gould headed a
syndicate which bought the Chateau
ot Mont-Boron. on the outskirts of
the city, and it is now reported that
this property will be remodeled to
house a luxurious club which has
been under contemplation for some
time.
