Nearly every East Not-walk street
”boasts" of poor roadways since the
recent warm spells have melted the
snow from them. Gregory boule-
vard. near Cemetery street. is pro-
bably in the worst condition. A
*large truck broke a rear spring
.: while passing over the road there
' a. few days ago and other vehicles
have sustained severe Jolta.
There are about a. half-dozen
streets that are badly in need of re-
pair and they include Gregory
boulevard. Cove avenue. lower East
avenue. Fifth street and Third street.
Many other streets lire in need of
repair. but these seem to be the
worst.
Last Night’s Social
An “experience social" and
monthly business meeting of the
East Avenue M, E. church was held
last night at the church. George
_Iugham. president of the class, pre~
sided at the business meeting where
it was voted that the class would
furnish flowers for the pulpit every
fourth Sunday in the month. It
was voted to appoint an attendance
committee to increase the member-
ship of .the class. Mrs. Charles 8.
Gray was appointed chairman and
she will appoint. a. committee in the
near future.
Mrs. Burton Osborne hnd charge
of the social. It was reported that
815 had been earned by members of
the class. who told how they earned
it.
