atric social worker for the Bridge-
port Mental Hygiene Society to fill
the vacancy left by the resignation
of\ Miss Dorothy Cannon commenced
her duties on Monday. Miss Fergu-
son. who has come. to Bridgupnri
well recommended. has had a \vast
amount of experience bolil in social
and Psychiatric work. At present
she is working and studying at. Yale
College under Dr. A. Goscli. director
of the Yale Psycho Clinic.
Miss Ferguson who was for two
years notional vice-president of the
Psychiatric Section of the Ameri-
can Association of Hospital Social
workers. hcadullarirrs of which are
in Chicago, is a graduate of Rryn
Mllwr College. and of the Pennsyl-
vania School for Social and Health
work and also a graduate of the
Smith course of Psychiatric work
at Smith College.
For five years she was director
of the Social Sci-Vice department at
the Philadelphia General Hospital
at Philadelphia and prior to that
was ashtclrted with :tho Society
for Organized Society in Philadel-
phia. She has also been engaged
in psychiatric work with the Amer-
ican Red Cross.
