For many years my store was conducted on Washington street. Several Washington street merchants, including Joseph Davis, Fred Giorchino of the E Sterling Furniture company and myself felt that the trend "of business was ' «1. , along North Main street. I believe we were right in this. Perhaps the trend . has not been so strong as yet, but I confidently believe that more and more a stores will find new locations away from Washington street, because of the 1 limitations of space as explained so clearly by Mr. Mills of the Peoples T1 ust company on your Booster page last week. 2 ‘ p- . The type of stores in a community reflect the character of its people to a considerable extent. The stranger entering our city gets an impression of ' city from “window shopping.” Therefore, if all the merchants of the city would giv: more attention to the 11- window displays, they would benefit themselves as well as“ ..1 citv.
