dents from attending business yes-
terday both in Norwalk and New
York. Trolleys were delayed during
'iho early hours. but after snow.
plows had been through and made
a clear space for the automobiles
to drive in. cars made better time.
Several trucks were caught in the
deep drift: at Needles corner during
tho morning and had the greatest
difficulty getting out. There was no
school session. Roads that had just
been opened since the last heavy
snow storm. have been closed again.

Caterpillar Campaign
The children of the llowayton
school are showing great enthusiasm
in the completition of the collection
of nests of the tent caterpillar. One
little girl has already collected sev-
eral hundred. There is a cash prize
of ten dollars for the winner of the
contest.

‘avenue, Bethel. County Commission-
er. who was struck by an automobile
operated by Donald Wright of Pros-
pect street. Bethel. while he was re-
turning to his home after leaving
the Norwalk-Danbury train Tuesday
evening. showed little improvement
today. He has had moments of semi.
consciousness but Dr. Frank lifoore.
who is attending him. said it was
impossible to determine whether
there had been a fracture of the
skull. Dr. Moore said he believed
Mr. Hart had a. severe concussion of
the brain.
According to witnesses of the ac-
cident. Hart had allghtcd from the
train at Bethel and was walking
through the snow and wind to his
home when he stopped from the
sidewalk into the ath of the car.
Neither the driver nor Hart could see
each other. The right front mud
guard of the machine struck Hart.
knocking him to the street and the
rear wheel is believed to have lass—
ed over his body. lie was carried
to his home. a short distance away.

Tonight—Boy Scouts
Postpone Their Scout
Week Celebration.
Roads throughout the town were
practically cleared at snow during
the afternoon yesterday. Very little
inconvenience. as compared with
last week's storm. was caused. al-
though trafilc was delayed for 5
short time. Trolley cars were com-
plsting their runs in spite of delays
caused by autos that were required
to use the rosdbcd. Snow plows
kept the Post road free or snow dur-
ing the morning and afternoon.

The Church Friendly society at
St. Luke's Episcopal church will
hold a. dance this evening at the
Baker school. Noroton Heights.
Final plans have already been com-
pleted and it is expected that a large
gathering will be present in spite

The pastor's training class of the
Darien Congregational church will
