Can’t Come Out.
Madame Redwlng gave an inter-
esting lecture on the American In-
. dlan at the Rowayton school yester-
. day afternoon. The talk was received
with much interest by the pupils.
, Madame dewing's costume was.
Very tiaborate. consisting of white
swan headgear, surrounded by eagle
marabou. with an Indian legend wo-
ven into symbols on it. Her dress
was made of government cloth.
mounted with mountain lions' teeth
and wampuln shells. She more full
beaded moccasins.
"The Indians." Madame Red-
wlng said. “try to be efficient in
. everything they do.‘ They do not de-
‘ p d on anybody. They prefer to
sh w their own ability and they try
ways to excel."
, The lecturer entertained the stu-
dents with an Indian serenade.
‘ which she arranged for the piano.
Her dance. called "The Coming of
~, the War Maiden." thrilled the ,itlpIIS.
Madame Redwing is at present
ltaying in Stamford. while she is too.
