Tunnels Solve Traffic

The Liberty Tunnels, shown at the left. were recently complcfetl at
Al. the right is a diagram of the famous Holland Vchiculnr Tunnel
under the Hudson River at New York. There are two lungs. each a mile
and a half long and 20 foot. six inches in diameter. .Thcsc tubes were

solve congestion problems. These one-way tunnels shorten distances be-

The tunnels were built at a cost of $300,000. They save motorists

the dining room. The ladies expect
to prepare one of the finest turkey
dinners that has ever been held at
the church. and according to re-
ports. 100 pounds of turkey will be
prepared. so that every one who at-
tends csn expect a good-sized help-
