In Giving a Play
At the regular business and social
meeting of the Youngw Men's club
of the South Not-wall: Baptist
church held at the horns of Russell
Wright on Parallel street. Wednes-
day night. it was decided to give I
play "Lazy Bob Perkins." sometime
in February.
The characters will be taken by
members of the !oung Men's club
and by members of the World Wide
Guild. Women's organisation. The
profits will be divided between the
two organisations end still be used
in church work.

morning as I read a letter from
"Ulscouraged Wife." She is so
gloomy and unhappy!
She says, “We have nothing ln
common. lie scoffs at all that I hold
dear. I wanted a nice home. He

and so on and on and on.
The Woman in Gray.
Let me tell you about The little
Old Woman in Gray whom i have
known for years.
One day the house across the?
street suddenly bespalte a. gracious
presence therein. Crisp rufflel ctlr- '
talus. fluttered at the little leaded
window panes. and boxes of tulips
and hyacinth spikes flamed in the
window. And a singing bird in a gel-
den case!
We saw The Little Old Woman in
Gray with the face of :1 Madonna

again.
We called one day. We found Tu-~~

sodden. blustering. uncouth brute.
He hollowed at his wife in front of
her guests. We cringed in pity for
