Our ' Christmas ‘ Message
NE of the very best gifts Crofut & Knapp
can contribute to its friends and fellow
citizens of Norwalk at this Christmas season is
to “sell” them the idea of pride in their home
city.
We are proud of Norwalk.
It is our home.
We are proud of Crofut & Knapp.
Many of our fellow Norwalkers helped to
build C. & K. to its present position of promin-
ence in the country’s hatting business.
We were able to do this because we were '
“sold” on Norwalk, on ourselves and on the twin
ideas of service and quality which animate the
Crofut & Knapp organization.
We slew the ghosts of fear, of “It can’t be
done,” of lack of confidence and doubt. We
routed all the “ghosts what aint.”
What was the result?
A new and modern plant is now a realiza-
tion.
We had obstacles to overcome, mountains
of them.
We hurdled difficulties that would make
you dizzy to think of them.
We laughed at the “couldn’t be done” stuff.
We knew better.
We knew we were building Crofut &
Knapp on rock foundation and that it would
grow and prosper.

Laugh at those who tell you we are asleep.
There is much we have to do.
Let’s get started and do it.
Battle down opposition and inertia. Re-
member we have one of the finest cities in this
part of the country.

strength, we will develop into a thriving metro-
polis.
The city of Norwalk will be known and re-
spected. throughout the state of Connecticut,
