charge of possessing liquor for sale
was filed yesterday against George
Brady. negro butler ut the mansion
of Governor Miriam A. Ferguson,
who posted a $500 reward Saturday
for the arrest and conviction of
every wealthy Texan violating the
liquor laws.

of the movement to convene the
special session. has declared that the
expenses would be cared for.
Obtaining pledges for underwrit-
ing the expenses is said to be in
charge of Will C. Hour; of llouston,
son of the late James Stephen llogg.
a governor of Texas and Represen-
tative T. K. Irwin, of Dallas. started
the move for a special session. Two
hundred thousand dollars is repor-
ted to be from north Texas.
It the Legislature is convened on
the call of the speaker. without ac-
tion by the governor. the body. it is
said. will be without power to ap-
propriate expense money. This is be-
cause the statutes make investiga-
tions the sole business of sessions
called by others than the governor.
