Menace to Health
A number of residents along Seu-
vioiv avenue are incensed at tho rc-
ccnt dumping of refuse at tho foot of
Belts place. The act, according to
the residents. is a violation of a res-
olution recently passed by the Coun-
cil. which forbid the dumping of re-
fuse in ally place in the let other
than the regular dump near the
river. Previous to the rcsoution the
local Bridge Committee proposed
that :1 road be tilled ill across the
tints at the foot of Dotts place. but
due to the objection of Scaview avo-
nuc residents. it was not permitted.

“The- citizens of Seuvlow avenue have
no objection to the proposed park.

neighborhood and they claim that

City officials stated yesterday that
the work was not done by the city.

tionary pleasure. as he said. until
Groehl assured him that he would
not press the point. This being set-
tled. Mr. Alcorn said he would not
so before Judge Thomas when Chap-
man's petition for a habess corpus
writ was presented, and it was ar-
ranged that Messrs. Freedman and
