ADVENTURES ,
of THE TWINS e :
BY OLIVE ROBERTS BARTON
t
The next place the Twins went.
to was Dootunny Land. \
Juggle Jump sold that. if they real-
ly wanted to find the rest of Put’t‘s
lost buttons. they'd better go there,
as Doofunny Land was a most im-
portant place. and Mister Fuzz \‘\'uzz.
who ran the place. was a most saga-
cious person, indeed.
So when they came to the hollow
stump that led to Dootnnny Land.
Juggle Jump pushed on his coat but-
ton that was marked “almost noth-
ing at all."
And instantly he and the Twins
shrank into almost nothing at all.
Then they went right down the
hollow stump.
Alter that they went down a. pair
of stairs—and lo and brhold! There
they were imDoofunny Land.
“Hello there!" cried Mistvr
Wuzz. who owned the place. "I'm
glad to sen you. But what brings
you here? Something must be up."
"No—something! on." said Juggle
Jump. “Puff, the Fairy Queen's
cook. sneezed of! all his hottons. Did
any of them come here?"
"I'll call the roll and ask." said
Mister Fuzz Wuzz. picking up a
large stick and beating on a dish-
pan.
Instantly, from for and ,wide the
Dootunny Lenders came running.
“What is it? What is it 1*" cried
the other queer people. "What is
it?"
Soon they heard the news.
"I haven't uot'it." said the Patent
Fuzz
Leather Cat. stroking his whiskers

“And I haven't. it,” said Mi
Pithers. the Yarn Lndy, snippily.
"And we don’t have it." said M
and Mrs. Cut-Out, and all the ch
dren. “Our buttons are paper."
“And I don't have it." said to
Soap Baby. “I don‘t wear a ‘
clothes at all!"
“Chug-n-lorum! You can see In
yourself that ‘I have no use for bu
tons." crooked the Tissue~Paper-Cu
ton Frog.
"Yes. you have. You have to 1
black shoe-buttons down your back.
squeaked the Tin Mouse. “I've oft .
seen themfl .
"That's the wrong kind." said Ju «

The Saw Horse whinnied out. '

Suddenly Miss Plthers, the )1
lady. exclaimed. “Just look at t
wheels on the Wooden Waddle Due <
They don't match!" ‘ '
And there, it you please, was ‘ -

That made eight.
