Market conditions: Increased re-
ceipts from nearby of sweet corn
and tomatoes were arriving on e
morning wholesale market and pri-
ces were down to lower levels then
late last week as a result. The bulk
of sales 'of white varieties of corn
were around $2 to 32.25 per 100
ears while yellow varieties were sell-
ing mostly at 32.50 to 82.75. A few
scattered sales of yellow were re-
ported at 33.00 but not enough
trading was being done at this
figure to establish a quotation. Most
offerings were fairly well cleaned up
late in the morning at prices even
with earlier sales. Tomatoes were
selling mostly for.32.00 'to 32.25 per
basket with sales at the . higher
quotation of 32.50 occasslonal. There
was still considerable southern to-
mato stock in wholesalers hands to
be disposed of which added to the
weaker market tone. -
Among other vegetables, potatoes.
onions. cabbage and snap beans
were holding firm at prices mostly,
even' with previous reports. Beetu.
carrots. cucumbers squash and pop-
pers were selling at previously re-
ported prices for the most part
with the market 101 them weak.
Native peaches “ere arriving in

25 to 31. 50 per 14 quart basket.
Southern peaches were dimer.
Apples were holding to a steady
