Public Utilities Commission in so
ruling published yesterday granted
to the New’ England Telephone and
Telegraph-Company rate increases
estimated to average more than 20
per cent covering various classes of
service.
The Commission cut approxi-
mately 81,000,000 from the 30.400,-
_000 sought by the company in in-
creased revenue. The new rates
will become effective tomorrow.
