Members of the Good Will Society
of the Methodist Church hold their
annual picnic yesterday at the Gil-
man residence on upper Rowayton
avenue. Mrs. Edgar Raymond is the
president of the organization. The
trip was made in private automo-
biles. the members arriving shout
11:80 o'clock.
It proved an ideal spot for an out-
ing because of the spacious grounds
and the pond, situated in the rear.
At noon 3. delicious luncheon was
served. consisting of baked ham,
baked beans. potato salad. rolls.
pickles. cotfcc. cake. ice cream and
candy.
After the luncheon games were
enjoyed and many used the canoes
and boats for trips on Chusmor'l
pond.
With the absence of five members.
those present included: Mrs. Henry
Foreit. Mrs. Earle Stevens. Mrs.
Charles Gray, Mrs. Beater Gilman.
Mrs. Oliver Clark. Mrs. Edgar Lynch.
Mrs. Harold Wilson. Mrs. Edgar

a number of friends at a luncheon
and bridge, at her home on Harbor
View avenue yesterday. The inn-
cheon was voted especially deli-
cious. There were two tables of
bridge. The first prize was carried
off by Mrs. Washington Dolley and
the second was awarded to Mrs.
John S. Potter. In addition to the
prize winners there were present.

Residents of the beach are. anti-
cipating an enjoyable evening at the
regular weekly dance at the club
house tomorrow. The special fou-
turo will be a bottle dance. Other
attractions have been arranged by
members of the entertainment coni-
mlttee. A door prize will be given
away. Jack Miller and his orches-
tra will furnish the music. which
has been very popular with all club
members.
Miss Dorothy Delmar of Harbor
View avenue is selling tickets for
the card party which will take
fete on the church grounds on
Saturday. August 8. There will be
home-made cakes. candy and ice-
cream for sale and the proceeds will
be used for the purchase of new
hymnals for the church. Further
plans will be announced later by
