ARE ON DISPLAY Many 'Added Refine- ments in Special and Advanced Six Series --Eleven Body Styles Country-wide interest focused this week upon the introduction of the new Nash Special Six and Advanced Six scriee now on display here and in many dealer show rooms through. out the country. This announce- ment of new models by C. W. Nash comes as a climax to the most sut- cessful period in the history of the Nash organization. which has been coping with an over-sold condition each month from August 1st of last year until June lst of this year. when the decks were cleared at the factory and all the vast Nash resources were concentrated toward bringing into manufacture the two lines of new cars. Outstanding among the attractions uncovered in this new Special Six series and Advanced Six series are the unique Nash-Seaman body crea- tions and the engineering refine- ments. The line includes eleven dis- tinctive types of body styles. four on the Special Six chassis and seven in the Advanced Six line. each model fulfilling a specific requirement of the purchaser. The Special Six lino offers a touring car. a roadster, a four-door sedan and, a two-door ao- dan. The Advanced Six line includes a five-passenger touring car. seven- paesenger touring. roadster. two- door sedan, Victoria. four-door coupe nnd seven-passenger“ sedan. All models in both lines are equipped with force-feed engine lubrication. four-wheel brakes, full balloon tires and five Budd disc wheels. The new Special and Advanced Six five-passenger sedans have under- xone remarkable refinement. The Trunk platform at the rear has been eliminated and the body lengthened. thus adding to the roominess of the interior of these cars. This. togeth- foiding front seats. allows plenty of passageway for entrance and exit from the rear seat. The front chairs. now wider and deeper, are solidly built and deeply upholstered. and an added degree of comfort is provided by the new floor knobs, which are adjustable. so that passengers may regulate the tilt of the chairs to their complete satisfaction. A digni- fied walnut moulding now frames the windows of the Special and Advanc- cd Six five-passenger sedans and im- parts an additional note of richness}, in the interior. These models ,are now both equipped with dome lights of tine Colonial pattern and with new type door latch and window lift, the former on the left-hand door being a combination door opener and in- side door lock. Instrument boards of both the Spe- cial and Advanced Six series have undergone further refinement. the panel lighting on the Special Six ser- ies now issuing from beneath the cow]. somewhat similar to the ar- rangement in the Advanced Six. while to the board of the latter ser- ies haa been added a. hydrostatic gas- oline gauge, accurate and reliable. Both Special and Advanced Six models are now provided with car- buretor air cleaners to prevent road dust and other sediment from enter- ing the motor; because of this re- finement wear on the motor. it is said. will be reduced to a minimum. Another mechanical improvement is found in the heat-treater steel band shrunk on the flywheel of both tho Special and Advanced Six care. Continually oversold business began. and particularly oversold this year in spite of the fact that production has been con- sistently in excess of 1.100. cars a day. the management is determined to take extraordinary measures to meet the requirements of its deal- ers in 1926. 'Five large new buildings are al- ready under construction and three others will begin immediately. it is announced by F. J. Haynes, presi- dent and general manager. The total floor area of the. eight new buildings will exceed 3-4 of a million square feet and will afford employment for several thousand additional men. The cost of the ex- pansion will be at Approximately eight million dollars. When the present construction program is completed. on January 1. 1926. Dodge Brothers. Inc.. will have 1 capacity of 1.500 cars a day. The present intention is to go into full production on this basis the man-lent the new facilities are avail- able.
