her duties after a week's vacation on-

it is rumored that she experienced a
most enjoyable time. and caught a

She expects to be completely rest-

The complaint is of interest inas-
much as there is at present 3 Near
East relief drive being staged in
Norwuik. to which numerous contri-
butions have. been made.
The Near liast Relief workers
claim that there in some misunder-
standing on the. part of Americans
concerning the way in which the or-
ganizattnn and the workers are
financed. t‘rittcism has been made
that. the workers frequently travel
and live. in luxurious quarters and
that the organization maintains 9x-
pennivc offices.
“This criticism is frequently made
without an understanding of the real
facts," claim the workers. "All of-
fice expenses of the Nein‘ East Relief
are carried by certain generous don-
ors. who believe that a great nation-
al and International business such as
this must have adequate equipment,
lie serve-d by highly trained elitpioyvs
and glVPli such offices as will enable
them to keep in touch with the busi-
ness and social office centers of each
community.
"Many of the Near East workers
pay their entire rxpcnses. Titty

their own personal efficiency and
strength and by so doing give. the
work the result at their best ettnrts.
All Near East expenses are very
economically administered and are
