(AP). The Devonsblre Mills at Goff'I
Falls has posted notices of a ten per ‘
cent wngc cut. effective August 5.
Last Fall when the Amoskeag Mills
made a wage reduction. the Devon-
sblre did not reduce its scale, but the
present cut is in line with similar
reductions by American Woolen and
other textile mills. The plant will
shut down tonight for a week for
the usual vacation period. There are
160 operatives employed.
LAWRENCE. Mesa. July 25.—
(AP). Two more mills and one mam
chine shop have announced wags
cuts effective July 27. The mills are
the Brightwood of North Andover.

dustry ovcr wage disputes affecting
135,000 workers took place here yes-
tcrday.

Barker End Mills where many girl
workers whose wages have not been
reduced stuck to their posts. A crowd
of 200 girls from other concerns
marched upon the mill and demon.
