persons were injured. some of them
seriously, when the veranda of a
moving picture theatde collapsed
during a. parade of sailors of the
visiting American tleet. here today.
No one was killed and none of thc

hundreds or people crowded onto
the veranda. cheering enthusiastical-

Wins at Larchmont
LARCHMONT. July zit—“Little
Hope," skippered by Gerrit W. Van
Schalck. came through for another
victory in the Stamford one design
racing sloop class at the Larchmont
week fourth day races at the Yacht
Club here yesterday. The "Little
Hope," of the Pequot Club or South-
port. has taken every race in its class
in the week- to date.
The events yesterday were raced
under ideal racing conditions and
there was fully 120 boats out. for the
different events. The clubhouse was
crowded and numcrous yachts were
anchored off shore.
Johannes Schiott. another South-
port entry, piloted his “S" boat to u
victory over the field in the “3"
class. Schiott's “Eclipse" won a
splendid victory not assured until the
last minute of the race. Incidentally
it was Sehiott‘s first victory of the
week, having taken seconds and
thirds in previous races. The victory
places him at a slight point advant-
age for the series over George A.
Sherwood, his clubmate. who has
been sailing the “lime." another “S"
bout this week at Larchmont. Sher.
