The concessionariea expected a com-
paratively quiet one, but a. terse
crowd on the Sengate and another
on the Sirius. helped to fill the pork
with people. Everyone yesterday
had the inclination to buy and the
stands all did a good business. The

from the Westminster Hope Memor-

J. The regular Friday Ridgewood
excursion was also on hand. A party

Children Jumping on the scales put
them out of order as fast as they

to be adjusted every week. People

Englebert J. Sauter, 61. for years a
severe critic of municipal financing
in this city and known as the watch.
dog of the city treasury. died yester-
day at Preston. Mr. Sauter, al-
though never as. public office holder
or seeker. had been active in poll-
tlcal affairs for many years and was
frequently the storm center of an-
nual city meetings. His fearless ad~
vocacy of municipal economy from
the public platform and through
the press had made him a. stormy
petrei in local political circles. He
was unmarried and up to a. year ago
was engaged‘ in the insurance busi-
ness.

One girl was quite ill for a few
days. She had undergone several
major operations in New York re-
cently and suffered from what at
first appeared to be a. relapse.
Under Dr. Brown's care she has
now regained her strength and gives
every evidence of continued im-
