This will be a get-together meet-

Pleasure Beach to
Have Contest July 18
July 18th will mark the date of
another bathing beauty contest. in
Bridgeport, this one to be held un-
(It-r the auspices of the Pyramid
Temple. Nobles of the Mystic
Shrine. at Pleasure beach.
Twenty five prizes are to be offer--
MI in the contests for which there
are no entrance requirements other
than that the girls be at the Plea~
-sure Beach Bathing Pavilion at 7

On the night proceeding the con-
tcst there is to be a frolic on the
island. the public being invited.
There is to be a large special or-
chestra for dancing and the people
will have a chance to witness the
drills by Bedoiun and Arab patrols.

of the convention of the Catholic
Daughters of America now being
held in San Francisco. it was
brought out that the organization

lars for charity during the last. five
Years and has reserve funds ade-
quate for the contruction of several
new club houses for working women
and girls. according to the report
made to the convention by Miss
Catherine Rosney. national secre-

The delegates adopted resolutions
opposing pacinsm, birth control.
eugenics and race suicide. A reso-
lution making divorce laws more
