such physical or mental disability or
disease as will serve to prevent such
person from exercising reasonable

terday to transporting beer, and was
fined $200 and costs and sentenced
to 90 days in jail Judge Joseph Ad-
ams later suspended operation of the
jail sentence but as Katch lntd no
funds with which to pay his fine he
seems destined to spend consider-
able time in Jail nevertheless.
Ketch was arrested by I‘ntrolman
Tomasky on the Post road early
Wednesday morning. who stopped
him because of the poor lights on
the small truck which the accused
was operating. Tomssky asked
Katch what he was carrying under
the canvas co‘ver and the driver told
him he was taking a load of vege-
tables to Norwalk. Investigation dis-
closed tho alleged vegetables proved
to be twenty-f 'e cases of beer which
analysis showe' to be over four per
cent alcoholic.
In court today Katch told the
court that be procured the beer
from another truck in Bridgeport.
and that he did not know where
it was going because he was being
conveyed by the owner of the cargo
who. was ahead of him in another
machine.

PERPIGNAN. France, June 5,-—
(AP). Fourteen persons have been
arrested in Barcelona in connec-
tion with the bomb plots against
King Alfonso. according to travelers
arriving over the frontier. who any
news of the plots is being suppressed
in the Spanish newspapers.
Those arrested were young stu-
dents and functionaires. members of
an extremist Catalan group which
had been camouflaged u a literary
and touring association. The pris-

The bomb which was intended to
blow up the royal train between
Barcelona and Madrid is said to
have been a large one. weighing 175
pounds. arranged to be exploded by
an electric mechanism. It was
found several miles outside the city

a. bomb under one of the numerous
tunnels on the route to Madrid.
Several days ago. they declare. a
