city. finds its necessary to close hit
ministry with the church. This he
must do on account. at the {ailing
health of his wife. .

The members and friends or Rev
Cooper regret his going because of
lils constructive ministry among the
people generally and his church in
particular.

He will ttke up the duties of the
pastorate or the Ilountain Baptist
church 0: summit. New Jersey.
where he has been extended a coil.
Several months ago he received this
call but did not accept it until re~
cently because of the love for the
work here. which was founded by
him and for the faithful and loyal
members who stood by him. and be.

people towardthis church through-
out its struggles.

wile caused him to decide to accept
that field. '

The church voted to give the re-
tirlng pastor a. farewell reception
Thursday evening. April 30th. as an
expression of their love and esteem.

Mr. Cooper asserted that he would
keep a watch over the church until
the new minister gets everything in
hand and that he WI- 1wnng the
city with a very reluctant tooling.
