An especially interesting feature
of the newest group of spring coats
and wraps is an evening wrap which.
as its name the “country club wrap"
suggests. emphasises a certain oaso
ual character so often desired for
the evening wrap for spring and
summer.
The model is offered in a devel-
opment of fancy silks. usually a
metal brocaded effect. combined with
georgette. It is an evolution of the
shawl mode. and in th eeoft. draped
adjustment, strikes the casual note
referred tn. The georgette is intro-
duced as a deep border. of double
thickness, that outlines all the edges
of the garment. .
Originality of fabric choice distin-
guishes other wraps offered in this
gseries. both in afternoon and even-
jing types. Many of the fabrics are
imported novelties. with an effect of
fine silk tapestry achieved in em-
broidered weaves. One particularly
attractive fbaric called broche laray
ishnwis. particularly when it is
