The Senate under the rule suspen-

carrier of the Hartford City court to

term. and Nathan A. Schata was re.
elected as Judgo of the Probate court

' As the judiciary committee on

tic medical practitioners. whose li-
censes were revoked by the statci

courts to secure restoration of their
light to practice and that the bills
to rtstore their rights would not be
reported upon favorably. the com-l
mittee sent to the Senate twenty
such hills which were rejected on.
adverse report.
These particular bills were those
assigned for hearing Wednesday. Ex-
planation of the attitude of the
lcommiitee was made by Senator
Shaw and rejection of the bill was

The state police continued to raid
alleged “blind tigers" in Norwalk
and vicinity yesterday afternoon.
Two more persons were placed under
arrest. both women. for selling in-
toxicants as the result of the raids.

elder which they confiscated placing
the woman under arrest. Queers

out in bonds of 8500 each.
The alleged intoxicents sold were

By Claims Board
The claim of the city against the
state for back payments in the pay-
ing of the Wilson Point road and for
the upkeep of the Washington street
draw bridge. came up before the Ap-
propriations committee of the state
legislature in Hartford yesurday and
was referred by that committee to
the Claims committee.
Mayor Thomas Robins and Cor-
poration Counsel John J. Cnnso ap.
posted before the committee and
stated the facts in the two cases. It
was then learned that the matter
up before the wrong committee.
Another hearing on the nutter
will be held before the Claims com-
mittee in the near future and Will
be attended by slayer Rbbins and
Attorney Cuneo.
