The Evening Sentinel
Believes In Norwalk 3
Future And Its Growth
The following letter, sent By The Evening Sentinel to every advertiser listed on
this page, gives a concrete indication of this newspaper’s belief in Norwalk’s future
and shows how it is backing up that faith in dollars and cents. For that reason it is
reproduced here.
THE EVENING SENTINEL
Norwalk, Conn.
Feb. 27. 1925.
Dear Mr. Advertiser:
You will be interested to know in connection with your cam-
paign in The Evening Sentinel, published on the Man'ufacturers’
and Boosters’ Page, that we have placed fifty 24-sheet bill-boards
in and around the city. The copy on the bill-boards reads:
“NORWALK, CONNECTICUT’S MOST PROSPEROUS CITY,
“42% OF THE PEOPLE OWN THEIR OWN HOMES
“A GOOD CITY TO LIVE IN
“A GOOD NEWSPAPER TO READ”
This is a rather expensive campaign, but we believe that ,
the city will benefit in prestige and business, accordingly.
It has brought forth complimentary remarks from adver-
tisers listed on the page and from many who are not on it.
This letter is just to keep you posted on how The Sentinel
Publishing Company is going ab out the work of promoting the
best interests of the city of Norw 31k.
.Very T ruly yours,
SENTINEL PUBLISHING CO,
By W. P. Milligan,
